A. Kristin McKown
A South Carolina native, Anna Kristin McKown “Krissy” brings a diverse work background to the firm.
Krissy has worked for several prestigious firms including Motley Rice and Rogers, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman. Additionally, she clerked for The Honorable H.F. “Sparky” Gierke III, Chief Justice of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, when his Court was on visitation to Ms. McKown’s law school. She also clerked for The Honorable Donald E. Grincewicz in the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Her most inspirational legal mentor was former Chief Justice of the SC Court of Appeals, The Honorable Alex Sanders, while he served as the President of the College of Charleston. Krissy was fortunate to work with him for over 2 years.
Krissy’s background also includes teaching at Charleston School of Law as an adjunct Professor of Law from 2011 to 2016, years of performing in film, TV, commercials, national musical tours and producing children’s musical theatre. In addition to raising money and sitting on Boards of many organizations, Krissy became a licensed First Responder and has served in many capacities as a member of the Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
